Life, Animated is the story of Owen Suskind, a young autistic man who was unable to speak as a child until he discovered a unique way to communicate, developed by immersing himself in the world of animated Disney films. Academy Award-winning director Roger Ross Williams captures the magnificence of Owen’s remarkable transformation: from a life of lonely isolation to the independence of young adulthood. Owen’s inspirational story is a potent reminder that stories serve as a powerful means of persevering through dark times and moving us all toward the light. Winner, U.S. Documentary Directing Award, Sundance Film Festival. Nominated for Academy Award® for Best Documentary.
“An inspiring story. Life, Animated makes fascinating points about the power of cinema, and about who gets to decide what constitutes a meaningful life.” –Washington Post

Tell Me More: Stories About the 12 Hardest Things I’m Learning to Say

What are the deceptively simple phrases that make love and human connection possible? “I don’t know.” “Tell me more.” “I was wrong.” New York Times-bestselling memoirist Kelly Corrigan explores these and more in her inspiring, insightful new book, Tell Me More: Stories About the 12 Hardest Things I’m Learning to Say. Join Corrigan, author of the powerful memoirs Glitter and Glue and The Middle Place, and special guest Andy Laats, for a frank, funny discussion about finding the right words in the right moments — and how, when times are tough, we can all learn what to say. A book signing follows the event.

“The poet laureate of the ordinary.”—HuffPost
